2014: Crossing the Threshold
Venus has been shining so beautifully and brightly in the evening sky each night for months now. She entered her 40 day retrograde cycle at the Winter Solstice and now sinks rapidly toward the Sun completing her 1 1/2 year Gemini Synodic Cycle.
By January 5 she will have disappeared from view, entering the Underworld where she transforms into a completely new expression of the Goddess, rising as Capricorn Morning Star on January 20 and beginning a new cycle in Capricorn.
Like our brightest planet, we are entering a month of profound metamorphosis and renewal, where we come out the other side completely different than we were before. It is time to ditch the illusion that we hold it all together, that we know all the answers, that we’ve got it all under control.
It is time to open up to the possibility of real, radical change at the cellular level, and to be willing to allow all parts of ourselves: our energy body (Sun), our emotional body (Moon), our minds (Mercury), our physical body (Mars) be dismantled and regenerated into new form by Pluto, then flooded with new life and spiritual awakening by Uranus.
